Faraday’s law

Faraday’s law

This is a basic law of electromagnetism predicting how a magnetic field can interact to an electric circuit which can produce electromotive field derived as EMF and this phenomena is called electromagnetic induction and briefly this law can be named a Faraday’s law of induction. Many types of electrical motors such as transformers, inductors, generators and solenoids this is the fundamental operating principle. Maxwell-Faraday was the name given orformulated later when this law has been discovered. In this law it has been explained that electromagnetic induction or named as lines of force and it was explained that the time varying aspect of electromagnetic induction is expressed as differential equation. Another definition states that the electromotive force around a closed path is equal tothe negative of the time rate of change of the magnetic flux enclosed by the path.

Relativity of the Faraday’s law and Einstein’s view on this.

This law is a single equation which describe two different phenomena first is the motional EMF which is generated by magnetic force on a moving site and second phenomena is the transformer EMF which isgenerated by an electric force due to a changing magnetic field. There is a reference to these two aspects of electromagnetic induction. According to Einstein, this law is usually understood at the present scenario when it is applied to the moving objects which leads to the asymmetries which do not appear to be inherent in the phenomena. This phenomena depends only on the relative motion of the conductor and the magnet whereas the view draws a sharp distinction between the two cases in which either body from the two are in motion. Einstein added that if they are discovered together with unsuccessful attempts to discover any motion of earth.

What are the application of this law?

This law is applicable in many devices and systems which includes electrical generators in which EMF is generated by Faraday’s law of induction due to relative movement of a circuit and the magnetic field is the phenomenon which is underlying electric generators. In an electrical transformer when the electric current in a loop wire changes and the changing current creates a changing magnetic field. Another example is a current clamp and it is a type of transformer with the spilt core which can be spread apart and clipped onto the wire to measure the current. Above are the examples of the application that can be applied by the help of this Faraday’s law.
